Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of name is Niewiadomy?

It's Polish, prononced new-wah-doe-me.

What if I live out of the area, but have a case in the San Diego court?
I have represented many clients who live out state but have cases pending here in San Diego. Depending on your case and situation, you may not have to travel back to San Diego for things to be successfully resolved.

What courts will you appear in?
I make appearances all over San Diego County, including El Cajon, Chula Vista, North County. In some cases, I will even travel to Riverside, San Bernadino, and Los Angeles.

I already have an attorney, but am thinking of changing…
This can be difficult. If you have an established relationship with an attorney, it may delay resolution for you to switch. Whatever the situation, your original attorney will be consulted before I accept an in-process case.

What do you charge?
I receive an hourly rate of $175. Most of this is paid for upfront with a retainer fee. Reasonable payment options are available to suit individual needs. Monthly payments are accepted.

What is a retainer fee?
Generally speaking, it's a deposit for work to be done on your case. The amount of a retainer fee will vary depending on the complexity of the cases. A typical fee will range from $1500 to $2500.
